| Jewellery By Anita
Davies.
I have been making jewellery for 20 years and beads
have always
fascinated me. There are many different techniques and
styles of beading
and I particularly enjoy working with glass beads. I
choose to work with
Cezch and Italien beads for their clarity, colour and
quality. My
favourite style of beading is pinning, using headpins
to link beads
together or hang from chain. This style displays each
bead beautifully
and allows movement within a design.
Mosaic Assemblages by Anita Davies.
My craft work draws on the decorative fragmented surfaces
of pottery,
jewellery, reliquaries, frescos and tiled surfaces.
Museums and Art
Galleries fuelled my obcession from an early age and
the result is the
mosaic assemblages I make today.
